RENNINGEN
PARTNER TOWN
About
For more than two decades, the quaint German town of Renningen and Countesthorpe have enjoyed a warm sister city relationship, originally sparked by their mutual connections with Mennecy in France. Like countless social initiatives, this cherished partnership experienced a slowdown due to the Covid pandemic. Renningen is now enthusiastically working towards revitalising this project together with us here at German Saturday School Leicester, which takes place every second Saturday at the Countesthorpe Academy.
Renningen
Renningen (with a population of about 19,000) is a town in the district of Böblingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated 18 km west of Stuttgart.

Our Exchange
At the moment our twinning relationship works mostly through letters and e-mails, on various levels between interested children as pen pals, as well as adults. They have sent letters, drawings and photos to each other. We are looking forward to see how the exchange will develop in the future!
