Payroll and Finance Administrator (Fluent in German)
Location: Remote Working
Job Type: Part-time, 2-4 hours per week When: From January 2025
At the German Academy, we provide top-tier services in language education. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a meticulous and dedicated Payroll and Finance Administrator to join our friendly and forward-looking team. If you are detail-oriented, have a flair for numbers, and are fluent in German, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process payroll for employees accurately and on time.
Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Handle administrative tasks related to finance, such as invoicing, expense reporting, and budget tracking.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
Prepare financial reports and statements for management.
Communicate effectively in German, both in written and spoken forms, for documentation and interaction with German-speaking parents, students and teachers, and the German Academy management team.
Complete annual tax return and assist teachers with tax-related questions.
Manage direct debit mandates.

Requirements
Proven experience in payroll processing and finance administration (UK).
Excellent written and spoken German language skills.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
