German Saturday School
NEWCASTLE
About Us
At the German Saturday School Newcastle, we learn German through activities - we play games, invent new things, cook and bake, do arts and crafts, sing songs and learn about history and geography! We strive to create a fun and stimulating environment where children and young people between 0 and 16 years can enjoy themselves and learn German by using it actively and purposefully in reading, writing, listening and speaking. We follow the curriculum of the German speaking countries (at GCSE-level, we switch to the English GCSE curriculum), and our groups are very small for lots of individual attention and interaction and optimal learning.
We celebrate the customs and traditions of the German speaking countries - there is St. Martin, a Nikolaus day, German Christmas, Carnival, and an Easter egg hunt each year for you!
We promote German language learning in the UK and beyond, and welcome everyone who would like to be exposed to and immersed in the German language. We are always happy to see new faces.
The German Saturday School Newcastle leads to a German GCSE if wanted. A new GCSE group is just opening up this autumn!
