About Us

The Playgroup Derby is for 3 to 7-year-olds who are accompanied by at least one German-speaking parent or guardian. In the Playgroup, German language and culture are taught through games and handicrafts. It is a requirement that the children who take part already understand German well, but they do not necessarily have to speak German.

The Playgroup is an offering independent to the Saturday School and is principally run by Cathrin Smith. However, the offer will mostly take place on alternative Saturdays to the German Saturday School Nottingham.

​

Cathrin can look back on more than 25 years of experience in youth work with German and English scouts as well as with the KJG (Catholic Young Community), which gave her a wealth of experience and ideas.
